MUSEUMS & HISTORICAL SITES
Centro Cultural y de Convenciones El Riviera (Riviera Cultural Center)
One of Ensenada’s most beautiful buildings first opened as a gambling casino and hotel during the 1930s gathering movie and sports celebrities from that era. Towards the late 1980s it became remodeled and then opened as a social and cultural events center. Its beautiful gardens and decorated walls make it seem like a flash-back journey through Baja California’s history.
CEARTE (The State Art Center)
CEARTE is the most important window to the art in Ensenada.
It offers modern art, abstract paintings, mixed media art, surrealism, impressionism and landscape paintings in large formats distributed in two spacious galleries.
Museo de Historia - Carcel Vieja (Museum of History - Old Jail)
A creatively designed rupestrian pathway and exhibition rooms focused on the "Native People of Baja California" and "European Explorers and Missionaries."

A permanent display of "People and Cultures of Meso-America" plus temporary exhibitions in the 1886 military headquarters that served as the Ensenada jail until 1986.
Intriguing temporary cultural and historical exhibits in one of the oldest buildings in town, the former Maritime Customs House, built in 1887.
"CARACOL" MUSEO DE CIENCIAS (SCIENCE MUSEUM)
